PIA: Mike Itima Sends Save Our Soul Message To Pere Of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Godspower Gbenekama, Kestin Pondi, Godfrey Pondi, Others, Laments Marginalization Of Gbaramatu Bloc A Communities By Members Of Constituted PIA Committee

The Vice President of The apex youth body in Gbaramatu Kingdom, The Gbaramatu Youth Council, Comrade Mike Itima. Has sent a save our soul message to the Paramount Ruler of Gbaramatu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oboro Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadagba, The Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief Godspower Gbenekama, The Fiyewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief Kestin Pondi, The Benemowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Sir Godfrey Pondi, Founder Godfrey Pondi Bookclub and other prominent leaders in Gbaramatu Kingdom. Over what he describes as marginalization of Gbaramatu Bloc A communities by members of the constituted committee, saddled with the responsibility of fostering the entire process in the Petroleum Industry Act in the Kingdom.

The GYC Vice President sent the message via a press release signed by him in the early hours of today the 10th May, 2023. A copy of which was sent to Coastal Times Newspaper. Where he lamented that, all other Blocs in the Kingdom has already sent their various representatives to the committee except for the communities in Gbaramatu Bloc A. Which he said comprises of both Opuedebubor, Tebujoh, Opuede, Azama and Saharabubowei communities respectively. Stating that the committee has since constitution, refused to call on the Gbaramatu Bloc A communities to send their representatives.

The Gbaramatu Youth Leader, Mike Itima in the release, appealed to the Pere of the Kingdom, Chief Godspower Gbenekama, Chief Kestin Pondi, Sir Godfrey Pondi and other prominent leaders in the Kingdom. To prevail on the said committee, to immediately reach out to the aforementioned communities and address their grievances. In order to prevent them from taking laws into their hands by staging a protest.

Consequently, Coastal Times Newspaper gathered that, prior to this time, the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oboro Gbaraun II. Had instructed members of the committee to ensure all communities in the Kingdom that are part of one Bloc or the other, are duly carried along. So as to give them the opportunity to enjoy equal benefits in the PIA.
