JUST IN: Major Political Tsunami Hits PDP, As Party Strong Men Decamps To APC Days To Governorship, House Of Assembly Elections

A major political Tsunami has hit the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State. As prominent Party Faithfuls in the persons of Gen. Mako Ajagidi, AKA Sorsor, Jacob Ajagidi, Tun-Emi Okoro, Samson Fariwei, Ito John Okuna and Miss Josephine Labofa dumps Party days before State Governorship and House of Assembly Elections.

The Chieftains of the PDP moved to the All Progressives Congress APC today the 7th of March 2023 in Warri, Delta State. And were received in a grand style by the APC Leaders.

When interviewed by a Senior Correspondent of Coastal Times Newspaper, one of the Former PDP Faithfuls Hon. Mako Ajagidi revealed that, their reasons for decamping to the APC are premised on their inability to condone the high-handedness and unruly decisions of the party leadership, whom he said considers themselves as gods in the party. Thereby, regarding others as irrelevant in both the decision making process and other statutory agendas in the party.

He went further to state that prior to this time, their political allegiance had been with the PDP even when they had been consistently underappreciated for their relentless efforts and contributions towards the success of the party over the years. As such, decided to move to a Party where they will find comfort and purpose. In order to exhibit their full potentials in working towards the advancement of the party and their individual political careers.

It was gathered that the sudden decamp of the former PDP Strongmen to the APC, drove countless number of youths loyal to them out of the PDP, who joined them in the All Progressives Congress. Further expanding the Delta State APC House to a great extent.

On their part, the leadership of the Delta State APC led by the Director General of the APC Campaign Council, Elder Godsday Orubebe and Chief Barr Bosin Ebikeme, Director contact and Mobilization APC Campaign Council Delta state. Expressed their excitement in receiving the Former PDP strongmen into their party. Asserting that their timely decision to join the APC will further boost the capacity of the party in Delta State. And assured them of the Party’s acceptance and willingness to not only appreciate their efforts for the common good of the party. But also treat them as bonafide members, who will be part of the decision making process of the Party.
