BREAKING: IPOB Dssociates Self From Attack On INEC Offices, Declares They Have No Intentions Of Disrupting 2023 Polls

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have stated that they have no interest in the 2023 general elections and have rejected any plans to interfere with it.
In a press release published on Monday by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB made clear that it was not responsible for attacks on the Imo State offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC.
Therefore, the pro-Biafra movement urged security organizations to avoid connecting it to the foolish assaults on INEC premises.
Anyone destroying INEC facilities while professing to be acting on behalf of the pro-Biafra movement will face difficult times, according to IPOB.
Because we are uninterested in the upcoming 2023 election in Nigeria, ESN agents never attacked the INEC office. Any individual or organization who assigns blame for an attack on INEC facilities to IPOB or ESN is under the influence of some strong narcotics.
Nobody should associate ourselves with people who are destroying electoral materials because “IPOB would not spare anybody using our name to disrupt elections.”
Security organizations were accused by IPOB of hiding information regarding the real perpetrators of the attacks on INEC premises.
If the alleged attackers were really IPOB members, IPOB questioned the security agencies on why no arrests had been made of them.
“Both government organizations and those responsible for the attacks on INEC facilities are extorting IPOB.
Because of this, none of the alleged attackers have ever been detained by the same security agency.
“Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has often stated that he has not requested that anyone carry out an attack on his behalf. No one should thus associate us with the assault on the INEC offices.
A disciplined and civilized Biafra Independence movement is IPOB. We are neither thugs involved in their election, nor are we criminals.
Politicians, according to IPOB, have enlisted the help of criminals and thugs “to assault electoral materials and blame it on IPOB and ESN.”
However, the statement added that no amount of sponsored blackmail against IPOB would put an end to the movement for the restoration of Biafra; rather, it would fuel the movement.
The desperate attempt to associate IPOB with attacks on INEC, according to the statement, is a part of the larger scheme by those opposed to the restoration of Biafra to halt the project.
The statement that was made available to Vanguard continued, “Neither ESN nor IPOB operatives are involved in the 2023 election fraud in Nigeria.
“As a movement, we have never endorsed or participated in any election violence or obstruction. The only action we can take is to urge our citizens to abstain from voting if necessary. But as of right now, IPOB has never asked anyone to launch an attack on our behalf and has no interest in Nigeria or its electoral activities.
It has been demonstrated that the Nigerian government and police are misguided, dishonest, and unaware of the rules by which IPOB operates by linking IPOB and ESN to the attacks on INEC offices.
“The Nigerian government and its security forces are extorting money from the IPOB self-determination movement day and night. Attackers on government buildings rush to the media to blame IPOB and ESN without conducting any further investigation.
Nigeria Police have never conducted a public investigation into any of the numerous attacks and arson incidents they have attributed to IPOB.
