SAPELE_________ Egbema Youths in Warri North Local Government Areas of Delta State, under the auspecies of “Concerned Egbema Indigenes For Warri North Chairmanship” has called on the Executive Governor of the State, Sen. Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa to intervene and play his unbiased role as the number one Citizen and Political Leader of the State in the forthcoming Local Government election.

The Leadership of the group ably lead by General Silas Toruwei stated this in Sapele during the week when Egbema Youths Converged at PK Hotel to deliberate on the forthcoming Chairmanship election.

Silas emphasized on the 29 nine years marginalization of the Egbema people in the Council. ” Our future and destiny has been mortgaged for too long, we can’t tolerate this enslavement anymore, we are therefore calling on our amiable Governor to intervene and demonstrate his enviable political prowess by calling on all concerned stakeholders from all stratas to make sure Ijaws from the Council produce the next Chairman. We are known for propagating peace, our sister ethic Nationality should shift ground for us to occupy the chairman position this time”. He said.

In the same vain, the spokesman of the aforementioned group, Comrade Ujoukumor Called on Egbema Political Leaders to unanimously pilot this agitation boat to the glaring promise Land, for two can not work together, nor speak the same voice except there’s agreement. ” I sincerely plead with our leaders not to see our oppression as a business venture, thereby mortgaging the future of the Youths and unborn generation. The Leadership should come together irrespective of social, religion and political difference in making sure our aim is attained, he pleaded.

The youth body profoundly stated that they are not after the ijaw community the next Chairman will emerge from, but a capable Egbema Son who have the people at heart that will deliver the dividend of democracy to the masses of the council.
