On Thursday, the 16th of January 2020. The Ijaw Interest Advocates, otherwise known as Izanzan Intellectual Camp. Expressed their displeasure, over the unprofessional and ridiculous manner at which the Governor of Rivers State, H. E. Nyesom Wike, is consistently abusing Ijaw Kings in the state.

The Izanzan Camp, stated this as a result of the recent abuse of some Ijaw kings in a function, organized by the state Government.

While expressing their displeasure at the consistent abuse of Ijaw kings by the Governor, the group also used the medium to admonish Ijaw Kings in the state, to be conscious of their status and position. As their traditional thrones deserves outmost respect and priority.

The statement reads:

We the Lieutenants of Izanzan Camp have keenly observed and watched with dismay a video going viral how the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Nyesom Wike insulting royal fathers including the ones from Ijaw kingdoms in Rivers state in the midst of others.

We are bold to state that the actions and inactions against our kings in Rivers State by the Governor is unprofessional, immoral, uncivilized and immature; therefore we call on him to render an unreserved apology to our royal fathers with immediate alacrity or face traditional punishment of our land.

Very loudly, Governor Wike should not timely forget the matchless and massive support he earned from the state Ijaw kingdoms. Our kings in Rivers state deserves high level of respect and Professional Royal treatment, therefore we shall not watch him while he insult our kings in a public domain or wherever.

If Wike persist with the unprofessional executive style of leadership in a barbaric manner of disregarding the supremacy of our kings; we shall resolve to reciprocate to balance the ugly equation unequivocally in all angles.

While strongly admonishing the Executive Governor of Rivers State to stop embarrassing our Royal fathers, we are imploring our kings to be mindful while relating with politicians. The royal throne and the kingdom deserves priority respect.
