SHERIFF MULADE DEMANDS A BLUE PRINT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF RIVERINE COMMUNITIES FROM GOVERNOR OKOWA, AS HE RENEWS CALL FOR THE CREATION OF CADA___Coastal Times

The National coordinator of a Niger Delta based Non governmental organization, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, (CEPEJ) Comrade Sheriff Mulade has renewed his call to the Delta State government to create Coastal Area Development Advocacy, CADA to serve as a blue print for sustainable development of riverine communities.

He made the call yesterday Tuesday in Warri Delta State during his appreciation program organized to appreciate local and national media outfits across the country, for contributing to the advocacy for good governance and development in the country. He appealed to journalist to join the advocacy of taking development to the riverine communities, which is the motive behind the appeal to the Delta state Government to create the Coastal Areas Development Agency CADA.

The Delta State Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalist, Comrade Mike Ikeogu who commended Sheriff Mulade for his selfless service and contributions to peace advocacy in the state encouraged journalist to be objective.

The managing director of Delta broadcasting Service, Malcolm Oteri cheered the occasion with Christian exhortations, urging all to use time wisely and get closer to God.

However, CEPEJ, boss, Sheriff Mulade thanked various media outfits for the positive exposures given them on various news segment especially the professionalism with which they handled the call on the Delta State government to create Coastal Area Development Agency CADA.

Mulade noted that CEPEJ is committed to its sustained advocacy to Development and good governance, poverty eradication, peace and security adding that People in the riverine communities are facing problems of poor living hence the need for an interventionist agency to pilot a coastal community development blue print.

Media practitioners in the state deserve commendation and appreciation as they continue to support advocacy for development of riverine communities,

Mulade also use the opportunity to unveil CEPEJ Media which has been operational with local and international reach, adding that CEPEJ media will be more visible in the media space to join voice for stronger Delta.

Comrade Sheriff Urge the Media to assist with publications that will accelerate the Development of the Coastal region of the State. ”The present Government is trying it’s best but need to give the riverine Communities developmental attention. The coastal area lack Roads, Bridges, Drinkable Water, Electricity, Health care centers”.
